Years in the PBA: 1
Years with Meralco: 1
Joined Bolts in: 2015  (7th overall pick)
Achievements: 4x NCAA Champion, 4x PBA D-League Champion

How was your rookie year?

Sobrang happy kasi at the same time first conference ko medyo inalat kasi 1-10, pangalawa naman, pumasok naman ng final four at least nagimprove yung team tapos yung last conference ko as a rookie is nag finals and muntik na naming makuha yung trophy but yung importante naman is yung team effort nandun and binigay namin yung best namin.

As an NCAA standout from San Beda, what’s the biggest difference between NCAA and PBA level?

Malaki. Kasi sa college parang nakakasama mo sila sa dorm, sa school, sa practice. Yun ba, paulit ulit lang and dito talaga is more professional na. Of course, ang babait ng mga teammates ko and kami kasi dito parang brotherhood kami dito sa team. Nagtutulungan talaga kami every practice.

How does it feel to playing against players you looked up to growing up?

Sobrang saya.

What’s the biggest difference from your first season and your second season now that Jimmy Alapag is gone?

Hindi sya madaling kunin ang responsibilidad ni Jimmy kasi, well, it’s Jimmy Alapag. But I’ll try naman. I’ll try my best kasi lagi naman nya akong ginaguide sa practice. Nageextra shooting kami together with the team and coach Ronnie Magsanoc din. I’ll try. I’ll try.

Personally, what are your goals this season with the Meralco Bolts?

Of course gusto kong magchampion talaga kasi nakakamiss eh. Nung college ako, as in, nagchachampion. Hopefully sana makuha namin yung finals na to kasi may mga bagong player kami like Ed Daquioag, Jonathan Grey, Joseph Yeo. Hopefully, sana, sana. Pero hindi siya madali eh. Kailangan pagtrabahuan talaga and nagiistart talaga sa training.

What aspect in your play are you giving extra attention as a point guard?

Siguro maging more vocal pa sa team. Minsan kasi tahimik, mahiyain. So sana maging more vocal pa.

Besides basketball, what are your other interests?

Favorite movie?

Madami. Madami akong favorite movies.

Genre?

Favorite ko kasi si The Rock.
