Years playing volleyball: 11
Joined Power Spikers in: 2015
Previous teams: Air Asia, Generika,

How did you get started with the sport of volleyball?

I started when I was in 6th Grade. I took a break from first to third year high school, but picked it up again in my senior year before playing for De La Salle University for five years. So it’s been over 10 years already.

What is your favorite aspect of the game?

The fact that you’re utilizing God-given talents is my favorite aspect – making use of everything to inspire others.

How did you get the nickname Ms. Everything?

Kasi when I was in college, I played every position except libero. There was a season when I think I was the seventh man. Kung sino yung nagkamali, or sino yung medyo off sa game, I’ll replace them. So even setter, even center spiker, utility or open spiker I played. I guess the versatility is there and siguro dahil sa tiyaga na binigay sa akin ng coach na i-train yung every position, so I think they got it from there.

What does it mean to be playing for the Meralco Power Spikers?

Meralco is a big company, it’s an institution. I feel honored and privileged to be invited to play here alongside my former teammates from La Salle. It’s a great opportunity to play with other players from other schools, especially from the NCAA. Kasi usually mga galing UAAP lang din nakakasama ko sa other leagues, but this time it’s different. It’s a great experience for me.

Strengths you bring to the team:

The commitment that I can give is my key strength. Being an athlete you have to give your all, and you have to consider the overall aspect.

What are your expectations with the team?

I have high hopes with the team na makakaabot kami sa semi-finals. Halos lahat naman ng team napatunayan namin na kaya namin silang talunin. Pero the thing is wala kaming time to train together regularly because, most of us are also playing in a different team. Siguro kung mabigyan kami ng one month together to train for the Shakey’s V-League it would be great.
